”It was truly an honour to be placed in two categories. I felt blessed at each round that I had got through and felt very emotional yet liberated when I presented my story to the judges.

I was so proud to have made the finals, but winning the Volunteer Of The Year Award and winning third prize for the Significant Achievement Award was out of this world. The awards on the 29th April,  will be a day I will always remember. A day close to my heart; a day that I was recognised for my hard work organising ‘Joanne’s Glitz & Glamour Ball’ to remember my beautiful auntie Joanne.

Sarah and Julia, along with their team, should feel extremely proud of themselves for organising such a large event with real professionalism and passion. It was a pleasure being a part of this experience. I LOVE being a Wonderful Worcestershire Woman!”

DSC_4930“The whole process from nominee through to eventual winner was incredible, mind blowing in fact.

On a daily basis I deal with vulnerable women who have been subjected to horrendous abuse and it has a draining impact upon my wellbeing, as I am sure you can image.

To have been recognised for the work I do, was not only a great honour but something that I will remember for the rest of my life.   When it was announced, the overall winner, I could not stop crying for 2 hours (tears of joy), I was delighted beyond belief not for myself but the fact that it would hopefully raise awareness even more for the plight in stamping out domestic violence.

Thank you all for the best journey I have ever taken and the destination being “on top of the world”.”

DSC_4963“Being a part of the Wonderful Worcestershire Women Awards was amazing; the women I met were so inspiring and I loved the fact it was strong women supporting other strong women. I never dreamed I would win, as there were so many other fabulous women in my category. I felt so honoured to have won and felt it was a real achievement and a recognition of the months of hard work I have invested in my business. Everyone involved should be immensely proud of the awards, and I cannot wait to meet the future Wonderful Worcestershire Women!”

– Sophie Wynne-Owen, WWW ‘Young Woman in Business’ Winner

DSC_5118”I was surprised but pleased to find out that I had been nominated for an award, and decided that if someone had enough faith in me to make the nomination, I should go through the process.  The organisation of Wonderful Worcestershire Women 2016 was brilliant from beginning to end, and awards event at the Worcestershire County Cricket Ground was excellent.  I was able to renew old acquaintances, make new friends and contacts, and of course, took every opportunity to promote the work of Worcestershire Association of Carers. I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting other nominees and award winners – who knew Worcestershire had so many Wonderful Women!

Overall a very good experience, and one that I would recommend to others in the future.”

DSC_5143“It was very flattering to have been nominated for the Woman Owned Business of the Year category in the WWW awards. Having never done anything like it before I was unsure what to expect but the whole event was so well run and friendly it was a pleasure to be part of. Although there have been many benefits of being involved, for me the real plus point was the great PR that it generated. Publicising the public vote through social media in particular helped to raise the profile of the business and since my win I’ve had dozens of people congratulating me which is lovely in itself, but also great for Moule & Co. I would highly recommend entering to anyone in business as an excellent way of helping to showcase what you do.”

– Hannah Moule, WWW ‘Woman Owned Business of the Year’ Winner

Portrait“I was pleased to be part of this wonderful event and I met lot of great people, who I found to be extremely pleasant. Sarah and Julia took a lot of time and effort to create such a superior event. And although it was an event aimed for women, there were few men in there – and one of them is my current accountant. If it was not for this event, I would not have met him. I found him to be very professional and thorough in his profession. He explained to me that feels that he is a lot like me in his own profession and that is why we have built up an excellent rapport with one another.

I feel that all the women involved in this competition individually deserved their place and each one have worked hard to be where they are now. I would like to thank you for being involved in the competition and for me all nominated women are winners.”
